Using the Audit Log

How to view and filter the complete audit trail of all actions in your team.

Accessing the Audit Log

Navigate to "Audit Log" in the sidebar. This page shows a chronological record of every significant action performed by team members and administrators.

What Is Logged

The audit log records: time entry creation, updates, and deletion; weekly approval submissions, approvals, and rejections; report generation and approval; project and budget changes; team member invitations, joins, and removals; and account changes like password updates.

Filtering

Use the filters at the top to narrow results by: resource type (time entries, approvals, reports, etc.), specific user, and date range. Click "Clear" to reset all filters.

Viewing Details

Click on any audit log entry to see its full details, including previous values, new values, and any metadata associated with the action.

For Audits

The audit log serves as proof of process for external auditors. It demonstrates that your team follows a controlled workflow with traceable actions and clear accountability.
