Common Generation Errors
AI report generation may occasionally fail due to temporary service issues or insufficient data. If the report generation fails, you will see an error message indicating the problem. Common causes include: no time entries in the selected period, network connectivity issues, or the AI service being temporarily unavailable. Wait a moment and try again.
Retrying Report Generation
If your report fails to generate, start by verifying that you have time entries with descriptions in the selected date range and project. Empty or very short descriptions may not provide enough context for the AI to generate meaningful content. Once verified, click the generate button again. In most cases, a simple retry resolves temporary issues.
Manual Editing
After a report is generated, you can manually edit its content before downloading or sharing. This is useful for correcting any inaccuracies, adding context that the AI may have missed, or adjusting the tone and formatting. Click on the report content to enter edit mode, make your changes, and save. Your edits are preserved for future downloads.
Tips for Better Reports
The quality of AI-generated reports depends heavily on the quality of your time entry descriptions. Write specific, detailed descriptions when logging time entries. Include what you worked on, the progress made, and any relevant technical details. Good project names and descriptions also help the AI understand the context of the work being reported.
