How to Import Time Entries
Follow these steps to import your existing time data from other tools into Logged.
Choose Your Source
Click the Import button on your calendar and select which tool you're importing from. Currently Clockify is supported, with Toggl Track and Harvest coming soon.
You can access the import feature from the calendar toolbar whenever your week is not locked for approval.
Upload Your File
Export a Detailed Report from your time tracking tool as a CSV file, then upload it to Logged. The parser automatically detects the format and extracts your entries.
For Clockify, go to Reports → Detailed → Export → CSV. Make sure to include project names and descriptions.
Map Your Projects
Logged will detect the project names from your CSV and ask you to map them to your existing projects. Projects with matching names are auto-mapped.
Create your projects in Logged first before importing, so they appear in the mapping dropdown.
Preview & Validate
Review all entries before importing. Logged validates each entry for date ranges, description quality, and duplicates. Fix any issues inline before proceeding.
Entries with descriptions shorter than 10 characters will be flagged — add more detail for better audit readiness.
Import Complete
Once validated, click Import to create all entries at once. You'll see a summary of how many entries were successfully imported. They appear immediately on your calendar.
After importing, review your calendar to make sure everything looks correct before submitting for approval.
