Creating Your First Project

Learn how to set up a project with a name, description, and tracking dates.

Navigate to the Projects Page

From the sidebar, click on Projects to open the project overview. This page lists all existing projects in your team and lets you create new ones. If this is your first time, the list will be empty and you will be prompted to create your first project.

Fill In Project Details

Click the "New Project" button to open the creation form. Enter a clear project name that your team will recognize, and add a description that explains the scope of work. The description helps team members understand what type of work should be logged under this project.

Set the start and end dates to define the tracking period. These dates determine the active window during which team members can log hours against this project. You can always adjust these dates later if timelines change.

Configure Project Settings

Optionally, assign a budget to your project to track how many hours are being spent relative to your plan. You can also link the project to a specific grant or funding source if applicable. These settings help you monitor utilization and stay within planned resource allocations.

Start Using Your Project

Once created, the project immediately becomes available in the Calendar view when logging time entries. Team members can select it from the project dropdown when adding new entries. You can manage and edit the project at any time from the Projects page.
