Calendar View Guide

Learn how to navigate weeks, use the timer, and master keyboard shortcuts in the calendar.

Navigating the Weekly Calendar

The Calendar view displays your time entries organized by week. Each day appears as a column, showing all entries for that day with their project name, hours, and description. Use the left and right arrow buttons in the toolbar to navigate between weeks, or click "Today" to jump back to the current week. The calendar header shows the date range and total hours logged for the visible week.

At the bottom of each day column, you can see the total hours logged for that day. This helps you quickly verify that your daily totals look correct before submitting the week for approval.

Using the Built-in Timer

The timer feature lets you track time in real-time as you work. Click the play button in the toolbar to start the timer — it begins counting from zero and runs until you stop it. When you pause or stop the timer, Logged automatically creates a new time entry with the elapsed duration pre-filled. You then select the project and add a description before saving.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Logged supports keyboard shortcuts to speed up your workflow. Use the left and right arrow keys to navigate between weeks. Press "N" to quickly open the new entry form for the current day. Press "T" to start or stop the timer. These shortcuts are available whenever the Calendar view is active and no modal is open.

Daily and Weekly Totals

The calendar provides clear hour totals at multiple levels. Each day shows its total at the bottom of the column. The week total is displayed in the calendar header. If your team has configured expected weekly hours, the calendar will indicate whether you are on track, under, or over your target. This makes it easy to balance your time across the week.
